Senior Ecologist - Ornithology
An established expert consultancy in landscape planning, ecology and arboriculture are looking for a Senior Ecologist with a specialism in birds to join the team.
You'll lead exciting projects, overseeing everything from Preliminary Ecology Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments and Mitigation Strategies.
To be successful you will need:
- To have a specialism in Ornithology, with a track record of scoping and undertaking breeding and non-breeding bird surveys for large sites
- Academic qualifications in ecology or biological sciences
- Survey skills including extended Phase I/UKHabs, specialised species surveys
- Habitat Regulations Assessments and stakeholder engagement with Natural England, and design of mitigation strategies
Salary - £38,000 - £45,000
Location – Manchester
Working set up – Everyone within this organisation works 4 days a week (Fridays off), the salary range above is what is on offer (not pro-rata). Hybrid working is also available – roughly 2 days in the office a week.
